Name
A Christmas Carol Sensory Exploration Tour
Description
This Open House event is designed for those who would benefit from additional time to become acquainted with the Pamela Brown Auditorium and some elements of Actors Theatre’s A Christmas Carol. In this relaxed event, patrons and families will have the opportunity to meet Actors Theatre staff members and walk through the theatre-going experience. For example, patrons will have the opportunity to find their physical seat, learn what is expected during a traditional performance of A Christmas Carol, and hear about the potentially spooky or frightening moments of the production in advance. Please note that this is not a performance with sensory-friendly accommodations, but this Open House may provide the pre-show activities that would set the stage for a positive traditional theatre-going experience.
The Open House will also offer the opportunity for patrons who benefit from Touch Tours and actor interviews to learn more about the visual world of the production. Performers will briefly describe their physical characters, and patrons can chose to join guides from Actors Theatre on the stage for a Touch Tour to experience design elements of the show– including selected items from the set, costumes and props.
